Windows Vista keeps failing?

Hi all, Is there any1 out there that can help me? For the past few days my computer has had failing after about five minutes, he was, and it seems that since the last automatic update installed. A blue screen is "a problem has been detected and Windows has been shut down to protect your computer ….. ……. Stop: 0×0000007e while "I have tried in the past two days, but can not understand the problem. Even to do a system restore does not work as when it starts to save a message saying something along the lines of "Your system has been restored by Error." I tried upgrade to SP2, but the same message appeared. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I HATE Vista! I recommend installing XP!
